BAMBOO OPTIONS

Bamboo packaging is produced using the outer layer of the bamboo stem. These sheaths fall off naturally are collected, cleaned, boiled and then laminated. The resulting material can be moulded into the desired shape.

Bamboo is biodegradable and will compost fully in 6 months. Bamboo takes 3-5 years to grow whereas trees require a minimum of 20 years before they can be harvested. Bamboo also produces 35% more oxygen than the same volume of trees.

Bamboo containers are not suitable for microwave use.
